Greetings fellow crystalholics! Our eternal gratitude for your interest in our shop. Aaron started this shop because his obsession started to take over his house and he figured that if he found so much benefit to having these pieces in his life, others might too. (As a fellow crystalholic, I can vouch for this. He will definitely feed your addiction, but also assist in getting you to a better, healthier place to take on the world.) So, during the pandemic, he decided to go for it and create, "The Crystal Market of Nambus." (Not what you were expecting me to say, huh? Yep, that's right, back then the name was much longer and not as witty as our now beloved, "Of Quartz." In the store's infancy, he started with just using a few shelving units in the living room. As the store grew, inventory started taking over more and more room of the living room floor, much to his dog's chagrin. Poor little girl's running zoom zoom room was shrinking!
So, he started taking the obsession on the road, and packed up all the pieces he had hand picked and loved so much and starting exploring fairs, festivals, and expos. Here he found many people who were just as interested in the crystals as I was. Fast forward to now, and the store is now been requested to supply some other local small businesses, and there is a possibility of having a storefront in the future. (Crazy to think, but it's true!)
One of his favorite things about doing the fairs, festivals, and expos is the chance to really get to know the customers through their choices and conversations. Each crystal, mineral, and gem have different looks, properties, and energies so when he meets with his fellow crystalholics, you can feel he really cares about getting the chance to match the right handpicked piece to the right "rockhound," if you will.
I wanted to create this section of the website for the community could come together and discuss their findings of how each piece has affected their lives. Please feel free to interact and talk about your experiences or ask questions.
As always, please be respectful of each other. Welcome to "Of Quartz" the blog. Thank you!
